MYTH: “Alyse Galvin is from California”

FACT: Alyse is a third-generation Alaskan. She grew up in Anchorage in the Government Hill neighborhood.

 

MYTH: “Alyse Galvin doesn’t support resource development”

FACT: Nothing could be further from the truth. Alyse strongly supports resource development in Alaska. In fact, Alyse’s husband works in the oil industry and her dad worked on the Trans-Alaska pipeline, she knows first hand what the oil and gas industry means to Alaska’s families.

MYTH: “Alyse Galvin doesn’t support the Second Amendment”

FACT: Alyse will protect our Second Amendment rights. As an Alaskan, growing up in a family of responsible gun owners who taught Alyse how to hunt, Alyse understands the importance of preserving our second amendment and protecting Alaskans’ way of life.

MYTH: “Alyse Galvin is against oil exploration in ANWR”

FACT: Alyse strongly supports oil exploration in the 1002 Area of ANWR and looks forward to the good jobs that will bring to Alaskans. (ADN)

Additionally, Alyse will strive to maximize Alaska-hire for any work done in ANWR and is disappointed that the State will only obtain 50% of ANWR revenue rather than the 90% previously secured by Sen. Ted Stevens. 

MYTH: “Alyse Galvin supports the Green New Deal”

FACT: Alyse does not support the Green New Deal. Alyse supports resource development with an all of the above approach. And Alaska is experiencing more than climate change; it’s experiencing a climate crisis. Alyse is running for Congress to bring independent Alaskan solutions to Washington and not the other way around. (ADN)

MYTH: “Alyse Galvin supports raising taxes”

FACT: Alyse absolutely does not support raising taxes. In fact, Alyse will work to lower taxes for working Alaskans. (ADN)

MYTH: “Alyse Galvin is a Democrat” 

FACT: Alyse has been an independent for over a decade. Like most Alaskans she got tired of the partisan bickering and registered as an independent. Alyse cared about our country too much to sit back and watch career politicians let party loyalties stand in the way of real solutions. (ADN)
